Pre-purchase inspections and Appraisals

Does anyone have any recommendations on Pre-purchase Inspection and Appraisal companies? I'm looking at Benchmark out of Buffalo, they are a member of BOCAA and USAAP for what that's worth. I can't find anything good or bad with regard to their inspection and appraisal approval rating though.

I did PPIs for a company called Auto Inspections LLC out of Connecticut for nearly 20 years, up to the point my lack of flexibility really hampered my abilities. The format for the inspector is spelled out, and inspections consist of a written report and from 150 - 200 photos. They have inspectors available in every state. I want to give credit where credit is due. I was looking at a car on the other side of the state, I'm unable to travel currently so I used Automobile Inspections | #1 Car Inspection & Appraisal Company. I talked to the seller who was going to be out of town until Thursday, Automobile Inspectors then called him and set up an appointment for Thursday. They sent me a login so I could watch the progress of the process. Unfortunately yesterday evening the seller sent me an email telling me that the car was no longer available. I was very disappointed but what are you going to do. I sent an email to Automobile Inspections last night fearing that it could be a problem as I had already agreed to the price of the inspection and paid for it. I got a response right away that they were surprised by this as well. They reached out to the seller and promptly told me that the seller told them the same thing and that they would refund my money. They have a customer for life in me. @patrick66, thank you for the excellent recommendation.

Thanks, guys, I'm pleased you both had good experiences with them. I got to look at and drive a lot of really great cars and trucks over the time I performed PPIs for them.
