I really like these, except for the spare tire thing on the trunk. Seems like a good price.

These have become unbelievably affordable, what a car!!

Not sure if that's an original hue, seems to be a bit off the copper Brown from 1957. Recently done repaints always scare me a bit.

I have to disagree, I really like that fake spare thing. Had one on my '59 Belvedere. Liked them on the 300's too.
These are way better than those pieces of crap that they hang on the back of T-birds and '57 Chevy's, with the 2 foot bumper extension.. IMHO

I suspect the original color is a Beige. Most of the time the front half of the roof matches the car color. If this is a "Crown" model then should have leather interior and door armrests that open for storage. I don't see either in the pictures.

Looks Pretty Good in the pictures, Price seems Good for a coupe. Still need more details on it.

That spare Imitation is a matter of taste, personally I'm not too partial to non functional items as fake spares or fake Scoops for example, in this case it contradicts the rather clean sweeping lines of the Forward Look design IMHO.

The marketing department probably insisted on it at the last minute.

It was optional except maybe for the top line model, not sure about that.

I can't comment for '57, but an across the board option in '61. They killed it for '62, then brought it back in '63, so somebody liked it.

Yes, it does seem very incongruous on a 300, and I don't like it on them. However the '61 Imp was going for a retro vibe with freestanding lights, jeweled emblems, etc. so the tire "fits" those cars.

Without it the '57-61 trunk lid looks bland. Remember there is no ribs on the trunk metal vs the hood that does have it. If you did not like it there was a choice.
