Called the body shop today. I was hoping to able to pick up the car on my days off, looks like it won't happen until my next days off. What's another monthwhen it's been at his shop for five years....right?

He he did send me some pics however.

The radiator support. Body color with the grill side blacked out. Probably a cleaner line than the factory.....but my car is not factory.

Back side of core support...

4 years is a long time. I'm sure there's an interesting story there. The paint and body work looks great and I can understand how antsy you must be.

Do you have any pre-body shop photos of her?

This is what she looked like when I bought her.

Her she is what she looked like as it was delivered to the shop. This pic is about three years after I dropped it off, but before he started work on it. Pretty much stripped other than front and back glass.

It's been less than the last year that he has actually worked on the car. He stored it for three years before working on it. I wasn't in too much of a hurry back then....evidently he wasn't either..LOL. The car has been blocked four times...maybe five now. It better be straight!

catfish you almost make me wanna cry... thats my car man, and its beautiful! I need to see more... "need" because you see my 65 polara has been sitting in my garage for years while I raised a family and life has been wearing me down like any working guy from michigan feels these days. this last summer i started to work on her, long way to go. patience ahh yes patience. thanks for the inspiration ! seriously!

I will have to pull the color chip again to know for sure. It's not a factory color for 65. It's actually close to a ford color called denim something I think. I saw the car in person this morning, the color looks fantastic. We held up some of the high polished aluminum trim next to it......amazing.

When I see a body restored to better than factory like that, I get so envious. I wish I could do that. Beautiful, beautiful, work!!

Whats with the trunk half painted is that where the box for the subs is going? LOL. Seriously paint looks nice and looks like extra care getting it cut in keep us motivated, I mean posted.
