I have the assembly manual, but does anyone have a good image of the quarter window mechanism and how is looks installed? Or at least a good idea of how it goes back together. My pre-disassembly window pictures are missing and I'm drawing a blank.

I'll have to say, for how small the quarter windows are, these mechanisms are totally ridiculous in the amount of parts used and heft of them. Not sure it was the greatest engineering feat produced by Chrysler.

Car in question is 70 Sport Fury, 2-dr. Not sure if the mechanisms were different for each C-body.

lots of parts an a postcard size hole to work in.

The parts book has an exploded view.

Thanks. Hopefully that'll help some. I had to pull it because it was really hard to crank up and down and there was this loud clicking noise at a certain point. I hope me cleaning up the tracks and rollers and applying new grease will help. It's not a fun job. At all.

I learned my lesson about removing window mechanisms on my 42 Plymouth. Very easy to remove, hard to get back in! I just looked through my pics and don't have any good ones. Sorry. Did it make a loud pop at a single, consistent point, or a clicking noise? Mine was making a loud popped and I traced it to the rear vertical track being fastened too tightly at the bottom. See quarter window adjustment?
