Hallo,

I Just bought a 1973 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron - 02 doors.

Since the car is sitting for over 10 years I think It would be a good idea to replace struts and rubber parts...I checked PST Suspension site looking for a "Original Performance Standard Front End Kit"

In this site there are 02 options :

FEKCHR672 (for press in lower ball joint) and
FEKCHR671 (for threaded lower ball joint)

Is there an easy way to identify which one is correct ? My car is very original and I
want to keep it that way...

Can you guys give me a hint ?

Thanks

Andre

Andre,

I think all 67-73 Imperials have the press in lower ball joint. But here's how you can check. The press in ball joints are found on the end with the grease fitting (or the big end pointing towards the ground). The screw in ball joint will have four flat sides around in that uses a special socket. I've included photos of the upper ball joint to show you the screw in type.
