There may be a few out West. That's were the hippies and weirdos in montana are. Sucking up all the tax money generated by the Eastern side of the state. I do like the long straight, desolate roads out here though.

I guess since I don't use a cell phone I'm not concerned. Now the wire tap on my land line...well?

It's no big deal it's just the cops using stingray. Been active for some time now.

HEY! I googled police stingray and that's what I got.............

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stingray_phone_tracker

The StingRay is an IMSI-catcher with both passive (digital analyzer) and active (cell site simulator) capabilities. When operating in active mode, the device mimics a wireless carrier cell tower in order to force all nearby mobile phones and other cellular data devices to connect to it.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] In active mode, the StingRay is capable of performing multiple operations upon a cellular device: (1) extracting stored data such as International Mobile Subscriber Identity ("IMSI") numbers and Electronic Serial Number ("ESN"),[SUP][6][/SUP] (2) writing cellular protocol metadata to internal storage, (3) forcing an increase in signal transmission power,[SUP][7][/SUP] (4) forcing an abundance of radio signals to be transmitted, (5) tracking and locating the cellular device user,[SUP][3][/SUP] (6) conducting a denial of service attack, and (7) encryption key extraction and interception of communications content.[SUP][8][/SUP] The StingRay's passive mode operations include (1) conducting base station surveys, which is the process of using over-the-air signals to identify legitimate cell sites and precisely map their coverage areas, and (2) radio jamming for either general denial of service purposes[SUP][9][/SUP] or to aid in active mode protocol rollback attacks. The StingRay family of devices can be mounted in vehicles,[SUP][4][/SUP] on airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles,[SUP][10][/SUP] as well as carried by hand.[SUP][11][/SUP]
