Age 99. That's a good run.

My first memory of him was late 1960's on Truth orConsequences. Then of course The Price is Right. (I was a Dian Parkinson Guy :))

Seemed to be a good guy, well-liked overall.

R.I.P. He will be missed I’m sure.

Ahhhhhh. Memories of the mid 1980's to the very early 90's. Sitting at grandma's house during the summer, 9:30am PBS Mr Rogers, but 10am CBS for Bob, then I got PBS back at 11 for Reading Rainbow.

Bob Barker was a Golden Gloves champion back right after WWII.
didnt know that. they talk a lot about him being a naval aviator and such .. the boxing angle is new to me.

Anyway, the happy gilmour scene was choreographed of course, but I was thinking old Bob looked like he had really good boxing form.

Lke a guy who had training -- for real -- at some time in his life (e.g; good balance, shoulder position vs. hips and feet, head tilt vs. hand/shoulder position, fist position, left jab ready to follow with straight/cross right. etc).

If he wasnt trained, ole Bob was a good method actor. :)
