View attachment 376110 Hi I’m looking for a factory radio with search for my 78 Chrysler New Yorker brougham. This picture is the correct radio I’m looking for. I was told it may be very hard to find. I don’t care if it’s in working condition.
Thank you.

#3501767 AM/FM 4 watt /fader fits C Bodies and other models in 1977-1978

all other radios listed that year have tape decks/ just AM/ CB ...etc.

radio is used and untested

Thank you my radio was pulled out in my vehicle By the previous owner and replaced with AM/FM cassette. However the car was ordered with AM/FM with search and has the search button on the floor next to the highbeam switch is that what you have.

The correct search radio in 78 was the first electronic radio offering from Mopar...they did not last well.

Odds are nearly zero that you can find one that functions, and I doubt anyone would touch one to repair.

So are you saying the radio I pictured is not the one my vehicle came with. That’s why I also pictured the window sticker to see if you knew What it is. I don’t know those codes.

Correct, your window sticker says R38 which checks with the dealer reference I posted.
Your current radio looks to be a 79-80 replacement from a Cordoba or something like that. Likely a dealer replacement for when the original radio died.

Oh okay the pic of that radio I got off the internet mine is missing. I thought that was the radio I needed. Thanks for correcting me. So now I need to find on of those! Don’t care if works I know someone that converts Old radios into latest technology basically it would just be the face so it looks original.
