Went to find lower ball joints for my '72 New Yorker disc brake spindles........not even PST makes them......they do have them for a '69 Fury........Is there a difference? Or am I Up a certain creek, paddle and all....

I really can't see how the would be different. Your telling me that Chrysler used two different ball joints in 1972 for disc and drum

I don't know? honestly, I'm panicking because I now have everything to put disc brakes on my car and the only thing I need is a lower ball joint that will work with my control arm and the new spindles.

That is the same one that came on my 64 dodge 880. PST carried it for me if I remember. I put disks up front so I don't understand how it would matter.

BTW, no one needs to panic when they come to FCBO.
I haven't seen one person that had to.
Get temporarily bummed out? Yes. Panic, no.

1966 to 1968 disc brake cars were different. 1969 to 1973 all drum brakes or disc brake cars use the same lower ball joint no matter whether disc or drum.

Stan when you get this close to having everything you need to finish your car mechanically and then you suddenly hit a road block of parts availability, I panicked, I figured my FCBO team would have my back, I was right!

Disk and drum do have different ball joints for the early models for certain, and the ones for disk were already pretty much non existent 10 years ago. The few left out there were really expensive.

I removed the original disks on the '67 New Yorker and put drums on with new Moog joints.

Pretty sure that they make aftermarket disk brake kits now.

i have never seen a separate part number for drum and disc on 69+

What I'm saying is that through Moog P/Ns, you know interchangeability.

"Also fits......"
That's why RockAuto's website is my bible on finding alternatives.
