I have just acquired a 1965 plymouth fury I I I wagon in Australia and there are no rear seat belts...did they come out with seat belt to the rear and if so, where were that mounted....If possible can someone show me a pic please.
I need to find this out so I can get it on the road....

Kind regards Chad.

Your best bet is going to be to buy a factory service manual (FSM). That will have locations for seat belts in it. It will also serve you well for many future projects. You can probably get an electronic version on eBay for about $40.

I believe seat belts were not mandatory in the States (you said your car came from the states in the Welcome Wagon thread) until 1968. Before that some cars had them and some didn't. I guess it was an option. I've never seen or heard of front-only seatbelts but that doesn't mean they didn't exist. There's a vendor that sells some really sharp seat belts mentioned in this thread: http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar...?13505-New-Seat-Belts&highlight=seatbeltsplus

I bought a set from them because my originals on my 66 were old and dirty. I changed the color to match my modified interior and added belts for the middle passengers (only came with 4 originally).

I believe that 1967 was the first year of mandated rear seat belts ('66 was the first year of all-'round safety glass, if you're interested).

When the OP downloads the manual, I'd love to know the answer. Were they optional?

the nuts welded to the floor are in the angled up area between floor and rear end hump if the car came with them Washington state were optional till 68
