Red Tek R12a AC recharge kit

I've used similar products...Freeze12, Duracool etc. They are all very similar in their chemical mix. I have never had any issue with these types of kits. As long as your system is in decent shape...no major leaks, and a new drier before recharge. Then a good vacuum down of the system to remove moisture,a nd your ready to recharge. Follow the instructions and it's pretty painless.

I prefer to use R-12 or R-134a but I have both in the shop. the only problem with something else is when the system needs service I wouldn't want anything but R-134a in the R-134 recovery machine but I you do it all your self I guess whatever works for you just my thoughts

I think Walmart sells a R134a kit that pretty similar for around $35-40. Most of these refrigerant setups are pretty much the same, but like said before,I'd convert to 134 if you haven't already, since it's easier to get and much cheaper than the R12 gas.A new drier runs around $25 and buy a new set of assorted O-rings(specifically for AC systems) and replace them while you've got the system open.Run a vacuum on it for about half an hour and run about a spoonful of dye into your hose with a can of freon to just get the compressor to cycle.Use either a special light or glasses for detecting any leaks around all hose and bulkhead connections. If all is good then add the remaining freon but make sure you don't overcharge the system. Not sure what the limit is for these cars but you can also use a test meter to check the level.

And yet one cow farm produces more methane in a day to open up that ozone hole than all the A12 did in one year...
Oops, there goes another 10,000 acres of rain forest burnt to a crisp to make room for more farm land...

Don't laugh......

The Feds just put a 212% Tariff on the Chinese for dumping (flooding the U.S. market with R134A that is way below U.S. R134A prices) thus creating a huge shortage of R134A here in the U.S. Let me know if the price of R134A doesn't double or even triple in a month or two. You heard it here first...
