There is a remarkable webpage devoted to the history of Reed Brothers Dodge, a dealership in Rockville, Md. that was a Dodge dealer from the very early days until 2009. Ultimately it was a sad story, but the former owners maintained an incredible archive of the family business. Visit here:

That's a nice story. Thanks for sharing.

That place is near Washington D.C., I'll have to cruise past and take a picture next time I'm in the area.

Nice! I like the historical history of these car dealers.

I've searched for anything about Peter's Dodge in Milwaukee and there in't anything at all. It was a huge Mopar Performance Dealer that competed directly with Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. Many grudge matches at Great Lakes Dragaway at "Da Grove" Union Grove, Wisconsin in the 60's & early 70's. A Wisconsin drag strip that was half way between Chicago and Milwaukee.

I found a little info on Peter's Dodge....

These two dealers are not on the list but were definitely in business during the late 60's, early 70's. Peters Dodge on S 27th St. in Milwaukee. They sold their share of hi-po Dodges until the dealership was sold to Dodge City in the 70's. Although not a Dodge dealer but there also was Kennedy Chrysler Plymouth in Milwaukee which has been closed for at least 30 years.

I was just talking to a guy that still owns a 69 Super Bee (not an A12) that he bought used off the Peters Dodge lot in 1970. There are a few other original owner or bought used, low mile Dodges from Peters Dodge lurking around the greater Milwaukee area. Some are seldom seen but they do exist.

When Hub Chrysler Plymouth closed recently, I looked into whether any sales/delivery records from that time period survived but unfortunately, they are long gone. There's a slim chance Dodge City may have kept sales paperwork from Peters Dodge but I think Cal Anderson, the long time local hi-po Mopar parts guy/guru, looked into it and didn't find anything.

Wow, all of these historical dealerships that sold all out muscle cars have closed or been bought out, that's sad.

And what's worse is all of the records are gone...ouch! We have little to no way of looking into the past.

was your A12 sold new in Milwaukee? There has been a couple of A12's that have surfaced for a while, then disappeared (along with the people who owned them), at the local shows over the years, especially during the 80's. Sometimes a few of the older local Mopar guys remember a particular car from way back. I can keep my ear open when the show scene gets underway up here in summer. Do you own a RR or a Bee?

I contacted Griffin Hub Chrysler Dodge who is operating a dealership at the old Peter's Dodge address. I asked them if they had the sales info from Peter's Dodge and it seems (he gave me the impression that they did) they may have it. I will do a back flip (that would be ugly) if they find my original bill of sale for my new 1973 Ralleye Challenger. If they do......I'm going to ask about my 1969 Super Bee purchase too.
