I had to grind off 2 bolts and 1 broke on the seat from my parts car. Is there a proper replacement bolt or do I just use something from the hardware store? I have 1 stud to hold it down for my cruise this weekend at least. :steering:

I have always used 5/16 carriage bolts with a retaining washer underneath the track to hold it in place putting it back in the car.

Is the original bolt tacked to the seat track? Friend told me they were and I have to looked that close since I got it free.

The bolts were swedged over.

You could probably tack then with a MIG welder or as Bill says, use a retaining washer to hold it.

I've reached under the seat and put them in after the seat is in the car too.

Thanks for the tip, the bolts worked great!
