I can not believe how sh*tty this ACC carpet fits. The carpet mold is kind of right for the 70 Fury/SF, but not really. Also, the carpet is suppose to go all the way back to the trunk divider wall. I was left picking scraps trying to get enough carpet the exposed floor and sidewall. And don't get me started on how poor the hump fits or the fact the heel pad is sewn so far away from the pedals it's pretty much useless. It's as if they molded a carpet for an Impala and just said "Eh, the big Mopar cars are about the same size...screw it." Very disappointing.

At least my most of the interior is in (sans headliner). Only problem is, my radio stopped working for some reason now. Great. It's always something....

I could have really fooled you had I gone with the show quality set, which actually has the repopped date tags on them. Haha.

Yes, the carpet situation for the Fury really stinks. The car is looking really good though. Time for a cold one!
Yes it's getting there. Going to get new tires installed on Saturday, then an alignment next week. I'll work out the bugs/small things after that. Just happy to get it back on the road.

would wash and dry original belts then hit them with SEM landau black.....

The color wasn't the problem. They were totally frayed. Tried sewing back together and looked like crap. New belts it is.

The carpet shouldn't go all the way to the trunk divider. It should end at the raised "shelf" just behind the front edge of the seat.

I know Trim Parts has an issue with the location of the seat belt mountings. How was this one?

Need floor measurement
Carpet for Plymouths?

My original carpet had cuts that ran from that raised shelf all the way back to the trunk divider. If you saw my rear seat and its coverage, you'd understand why.

Seat belt mountings on the floor? They're terrible. I somehow managed to fit the original plastic covers that go under the rug and over the retractors. However, it screwed the shape of the carpet some, even though the rear section fit way better than the front. I can't believe how poorly that hump fits. I guess they're expecting everyone to install a 6-speed TREMEC. haha.

I've had similar issues regarding carpets for my '66 Valiant over here. I purchased a set through a well known and respected Mopar parts supplier and was told by the business owner himself that it would be a high quality reproduction. The colour doesn't match, the fit is horrible and it definitely does not resemble the original in look or finish.
Luckily, I've kept the original carpets, which will be used as a template for a new set, when I find somebody with the ability to do so.

Trim Parts recently sold their carpet division to ACC. C Body carpets from ACC are way more $$$. I was a Trim Parts carpet dealer for the last decade or so. ...now I'm ACC.

So, who's going to be the preferred vendor for these carpets now?

I'd always perceived ACC as the premier molded carpet vendor, at least in how the carpets looked, but no information about "fit" until now. When I was Mopar Nats, ACC had their trailer there and about sundown most days, you'd see the Legendary van back up to it for more product.

I believe the Chryslers have more rear legroom than Plymouths or Dodges, so that rear footwell is probably where most of the wheelbase difference is made up, considering that all of the front legroom specs are the same for C-D-P.

If that's accurate, then using a Chrysler mold would make more sense of them, then do the "cut here for _______ models" procedure, or just laying the additional front section under the front seat? Not sure why you need to see the carpet beside the rear seat. I know the carpet normally does not go under the seat, that far back. Might some from the front of the rear carpet be cut and spliced for that side section?

The seats and such look good in your car!

I didn’t say it was extraordinary. I’m just showing that the carpet needs to go well beyond that ledge on the sides one the seats.
