Hey all,

I'm toying with the idea of retrofitting power vent windows into my '73 Imperial.
I have a set of vent windows and front window glass, the motors, switches and seals.
Just wondering if anyone knows what else I might need.

My Imperial wasn't optioned with them but would it still have the necessary wiring / fittings in the doors?

I put them in my '70 300 vert a few years ago.

This thread shows how I did it and added relays too. Start at post #25 Power Window Relays, now with Power Vents
A few years later, I did some repair Power Vent Motor- Anyone ever take one apart??

The motors are easy to find if you look for Cadillac ones. The left Caddy motor is used on the right side of the Chrysler. Motors taken out of Chryslers are generally cheaper though because people haven't made the connection yet. The hard part for me was finding a dual switch, but I'm sure your Imperial uses a different set of switches. The plug you'll need is also GM and the mounting brackets are Mopar, not GM. Murray Park at Murray B. Park - Used and NOS Parts for Chrysler, Imperial, Dodge, Desoto, and Plymouth is gonna be your friend here.
