I had misgivings about swapping the rims from the former Mirada to the current Ramchargers. Took the plunge anyway so I'm wondering if you think they work or did I make a mistake? Below are before and after pics.

The turbines will stay on for the summer and I can always switch back if I get tired of them. Magnums would be my favourite but good used ones or new cost too much.

Like the before pic better. Original rims with wheel covers would be my close second choice to the aforementioned Magnums. But no big issue anyways, changed in a jiffy.

Both look fine to me. If it were my car, I'd probably go with the first ones or stock caps, but that's just me.

I like the wheel swap.....looks great on your car. I would leave them on!

I'm a stubborn old fool Fred, I am not fond of the Mirada wheels on old iron. I think your would have looked better if they were highly polished. I like her summer sandals even less, me? I would add white letters and I think it enhances the look while most on the board would beat me over the head for saying that. So I like the Mirada wheels better, yeah Magnums are the way to go which makes me a stubborn old fool.

I would save for the Magnums, but in the mean time maybe polish up the Mirada wheels and repaint the black between the spokes. Someone here has a '68 New Yorker with them and they looked pretty good on the car.

The turbine wheels don't really fit the car in my opinion.

The rest of the car looks real sharp btw.

Definitely like that look, Solid!

I've got a set of downtips like that for my Fury. Unfortunately, the previous owner decided to weld on his honda extender ...on only one of the duals...

Thanks for your honest opinion guys. If I wanted tactful I would have posted the opinion request on the Drydock where it's illegal to be harsh! Regarding the magnums that came with the car they were 14" rims and are long gone. The reason being I couldn't find new tires that approximated the factory diameter at a reasonalble price. Polishing up the Mirada rims might make a good winter project. In the mean time the turbines are going to stay for the summer and maybe longer if they grow on me.
