Road Rage Karma

Nice!

Disclaimer*** It was 1971 and I was 16 years old at the time****

There was a bridge with a pedestrian walkway in downtown Milwaukee on Wisconsin Ave between 12th & 13th and when Marquette University yuppies were walking over the bridge and got halfway it was the point of no return and they had no place to go. We would take off with my 69 Super Bee and hit a gigantic puddle with L60-15's or M&H Racemaster's and soak them like no tommorrow.

I have a problem with this, not that I wouldnt have done what the guy did BUT... what am I missing? Why is the guy on the right wrong?

There is such a thing as etiquette and the guy on the left doesnt seem to have any, he is merging to the right and has no signal light on. I would never let anyone in like that . Its called courtesy, he needs to be courteous to expect courtesy in return. Notice he ran like a little girl

I tend to agree. There are many roads around here where one lane ends, or one lane is supposed to be a right turn, and people know it but still try to use that lane and merge in at the last moment. Two places right around my office where the two merge into one with the right lane being a right turn shortly after the light. Countless people take that lane and try to get over into the lane going straight. If I am there you are not getting over as I know exactly what you are trying to do. No different than trying to jump the line for a movie long ago.

There are differences in driving behavior in different continents. It's pretty well established rule over here to use the ending lane until near the end and merge in the last moment while being let in one car at a time. Called the "zipper" system to keep traffic as fluent as possible using up all the available traffic space.

I'm aware of those. The two examples I listed actually have right turn arrows at the end of them and to the left a solid white line. In California it is illegal to cross a solid white line. Many do and most never get caught but I know. I crossed one just after the Bay Bridge toll plaza, years ago, and promptly got nailed by the CHP.

Oh, and there is one more from last night. Entrance lanes coming up onto the freeway have a dashed line that eventually runs out and you are to merge into the number 4 lane. This area is wide so you have cars taking it as far as possible past the line as they can get away with rather than merge correctly. If I am in the #4 lane, then as soon as their dashed line ends I pull over to the right to eliminate that behavior. Last night did that and the driver still tried to drive the shoulder to get as far as he could. Not gonna happen as I am a pro when it comes to knocking you off the road. He got blocked and the big truck behind me pinned him against that shoulder till the truck passed. The trucker also knew.

yeah, yeah, yeah..... its done here too BUT the guy on the left could have easily gotten in in front of the camera car.....didnt have to be a dickhead

Road rage is the dumbest thing. Take a deep breath & move on. I posted the video because it's wild, not because I agree or disagree with the commentary.
