I did that same route on my Harley many years ago before that area got McDonalded and Walmarted. One of my most memorable trips of my entire lifetime. I remember stopping while going through Spearfish Canyon and drinking that pure ice cold water right out of the river. Never tasted water so good in my life.

Dang I missed ya. I see you found a few car related spots in the area - and you found the ole green Chrysler that they want too much money for, haha.
Scott.

Lovely, absolutely lovely. These pics say a million words about tooling around in a big ol' fuselage Chrysler. Nice! Now, if only I could get mine off its *** and running dependably I could be doing the same thing.

Did you figure out what your starter problem was?

Thanks for all the nice comments, we did have a great time! That `55 Chrysler was the only forwardlook we saw. We did see a couple of fuselage cars, a `69 Newport and a `72 Plymouth Suburban, that one surprised me, don`t see those very often!

That's amazing! Great pics, I love road trips in vintage cars, thanks for sharing.

Good On Ya, I grew up in the Black Hills, know it quite well. Still have a ton of family there. Bought and sold a 69 Charger 500 in Rapid City in 73. Didn't even know what it was, cept it was a funny looking Charger. It had Hemi badges on it,but a 383 inside. Damn what stupid things a 22 year old does! Traded it for 72 Fury Gran Coupe. Looks like a great trip!

I can't wait!

Three more years and I can wander around to all of North America's beautiful pit-stop's and car show's in one of my 78's like Will & Ellie.
