How do they come off? I want to be sure to take them off properly, Don't wanna mess up my new road wheels, going to replace the valve stems and repaint the argent, get them mounted up this week. I'll take them to work with me.

I ended up with 4 light coats of Argent when I repainted mine.

The cap just pushes out.....maybe need a tap with something soft.

You might exersize caution removing the cap from the dome. The cap is pot metal and rivited to the steel spring retainer. They fit pretty snug so remove from the inside by tapping around the steel retainer and not on the pot metal cap.

I knocked one right off the retainer once. The cap came off but the retainer was still on the dome.

I redid mine last november..... Blasted the rims, polished the chrome, Masked and painted the rims gloss black, masked and painted the centers silver metallic and then clear coated everything.
Their holding up well and easy to clean .

Will, do you have a problem with brake dust on the front road wheels?

I have Wagner ceramic front pads and the road wheels are a mess in no time.
