Scat Pack History

This guy is all over the map regarding his 1968 "Scat Pack" history....True that Dodge wanted its own version of the road runner ( btw Dodge first used "road runner" in a 67 Coronet R/T advertisement) The marketing crew came up with a BEE to signify the B body True that in 68 the S.P. was known as the "cars with the bumble bee stripes" but there was no Challenger in 68, and the super Bee didn't "join" the other cars....it was always part of the pack.. In 68 you had Charger R/T - Coronet R/T - SuperBee, and Dart GTS (no Swinger in 68) and NO Challenger!!

I've got a few of the superbee emblems from a shop I used to work at. From the re-introduction of the bee of course.

Wonder if they intentionally wanted to have some ties to the famous rat pack by coining this term, though they already were over the zenith in These years.
