LOL .... yep. That throws a red flag that a (brand X), guy restored the car and theres likely several non authentic issues.
Just the pureists will fret about that though. It looks like a great cruise car.

Can someone confirm the taillights are not wrap around on a '66 300 Canadian build? I thought I remember reading that here at some point but this the first time I've seen it.

That is correct. The 300 here - 2 and 4 door - was built on the Windsor (Newport) body. All convertibles were US production.
