I stumbled across this hulk while spending the weekend in a small town in the northern tip of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Not much of a story to go with it, and I couldn't tell you if it's for sale. No nameplate, no chassis, and I'm pretty vague on pre-war stuff so I have no idea what it is.

My buddy from pinckney MI used to go up to the U.P. atleast once a year, and drag an old carcass home like this to make a rat rod out of.

Said the woods up there was full of cool old iron like this. Just left abandoned.

This was his last toy he was working on when he passed away. Came from the U.P.

Thanks for the pics! Brought back some memories.

Obviously that's a 1922 Dort.

Really I have no idea what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's out of warranty.

29 (or so) Essex. The roof line gives it away.

They would take the bodies off and use the frames for hay wagons.

The fact that it still exists without a chip of paint on it is a testament of a better time.

Looks like someone cared enough about it to lay some lumber under it, and try to keep it off the ground at some point.

If i found that, I would haul it home on my Bicycle and Make a Killer Ratrod.
