Has anyone on here dealt with SMS Auto Fabrics on buying door and quarter trim panels ? I was wondering what their prices were like, and specifically if anyone here has gotten 1965 Polara(not 880) trim panels from them. I have e-mailed them, but so far have not gotten a reply. Would anyone have any ideas for any other sources for those panels? Thanks for any help. :BangHead:

They did the interior door and quarter panels for my '65 300, made the material for the seat inserts, made my top boot and made my top out of NOS material. I was very happy with their products.

SMS is really the only game in town, and we are fortunate they are really good at everything they do. Been using them for years. Call them, as the lady I always talk to there is super helpful and on the ball.

The good ....... SMS has the correct materials and the ability to heat stamp interior panels. They do nice work when they get it right.

The bad ....... Usually requires payment in full up front. May have to wait as long as a year or more for your panels.

I was quoted $700.00 for the trim panels in my 61 Fury.

Here is an alternative source for OEM material and seat covers. Wouldn't hurt to check with them.

They are a good source for the material, but I don't think they make the panels ready for install.

Thanks for the replies and information guys, I finally heard back from SMS and they can make the panels, now I just have to make a deal on the car, and get it home.
Rexus your 300 is gorgeous, I really like that metallic red. I have a question for you, is the lever for your tilt wheel straight, or does it have a dip in it ?
Thanks again for the help !:sSig_thanks:

Thanks!

Both the Tilt Wheel and Turn Signal Levers are straight on my car.

Ditto on that feedback. Good quality stuff but sometimes you need to wait and wait and wait! I ordered the cloth to do my seats from them, they said they had it in stock but turns out they didn't and had to have it woven (cool that they have resources to do that, though). It took almost 8 months.
