Very cool derby car jake! I love doing these cars! Here's a couple of mine I did a few years back. I went a little overboard, but I enjoyed doing them! We used to have a derby race at work once a year. I have about 40 hours into each one. All PPG and House of Kolor paint, no sticker's.

Amazing cars, my son wants to build another one after seeing those!
 
It's very fun thing to do with your son. I didn't mean to hi-jack your thread, it was just a lot of fun to build them. There's some pretty cool ones out there that put mine to shame. Some of these guys really get out of hand. "Google Image" it. Some people really have quite the imagination.

Yea, he researched it on the computer, we polished the spindles up to 2000 grit, got the wheels running true, the whole works, just have to hone it in to 5 ounces!
