Hi.

I would like to get my original AM/FM radio working, but seems that here from overseas it is impossible. The radio has been examined and the faulty parts are identified, they are those two components marked. Can someone help to to locate the parts and get them shipped here to Finland? Or any direction where from to ask?

Thanks, JP

You'll need more than the picture to do this.

A SAMS Photofact manual will give the correct replacement part number etc.

Whoever figured out that is the problem should be telling you that.

I will check tomorrow the part number, it was visible at least partly.

Not just the P/N.
EVERYthing printed on the component...
You can then replace it with another manufacturer's component with the same values.

Unfortunately those parts are unreadable :( The radio model is Transaudio Model 374 7FBD 021334. There is a sticker saying "NDS ELECTRONICS CAR AUDIO
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION ON ALL CARS.", perhaps fixed there earlier? Just cannot find an email to them :(

Usually the first things to go are the electrolytic capacitors. That is what happens on all the mid 60's Ford radios. I just recapped my 65 F100 radio (only two needed) and it works fine. Luckily plenty of info out there on the specs of those caps. Some true for vintage 60-70 stereo receivers for the home. When they don't function right it is time to recap them if worth the money.

This is how the Ford radio was done:

There is no printing on the side of those little cans like this one in the photo?

Another link on capacitors. I bookmarked a bunch for myself.
