I want to post a special Thank You to Mike and Debbie and my Nephew Matt.
We had started to plan the big trip last year and started with a small list of repairs and parts swap. The main two items was the wiper fix and A/C box. The list expanded to the seats, package tray, speakers, stereo, power antenna, speedo lights, right side remote mirror, txsm speedo o-rings and band adjustment, replace carpet, windshield swap. dash pad, the list went on and on.
We thought we were going to get all of it done in three days. LOL!!! So before I left Maryland we decided to leave the carpet swap off the list because if we found rust under the carpet we wouldn't of had enough time to square it away and finish the rest of the repairs. Plus we were running out of room to pack everything in the car. That's a project for next time. We didn't get to txsm o-rings either. It was last on the list.
With Mike's expertise on Formal's we finished all of this in only 4 days!!! I am amazed at Mike's vast knowledge and passion for Formal's! I would be lucky to get the dash apart in 4 days... he had it apart in minutes!!!! Even Mike's wife Debbie was working on the NYB.... I'm proud to say that she knows more about Formal's than I do!!! She took an entire wiring harness out of a (parts car) NYB without cutting a single wire by herself!!! Lucky Mike to find a wife that is passionate about Formal's too!
My nephew Matt (17 years old) worked very hard on the NYB all 4 days. I believe he is building a passion for classic Chrysler's. He's going to get my NYB after my final roll call so working on the NYB now will hopefully keep it on the road for another 60-70 years.
