Holy ****.., you guys are not going to believe this!! After all the back and forth between SSBC and I for the last 4 to 5 weeks,.it ended up being the PO had the MC lines on the wrong ports!! On a GM (Corvette) MC, the rear port closest to the booster is for the rear brakes, he had it the other way around. What happened was I sent pictures to SSBC of the MC and booster mounted in the car a few weeks ago and he missed it the first time around. After sending me a new booster and MC, it still didn't work. On Wednesday I called SSBC and talked to the tech that's been on this issue and I asked him what could be the problem and I said what about the lines going into the MC. He said let me look at the pictures again and I'll get back to you. He and I were at our wits end with this. About 5 minutes later he called me back and said, the lines are in the wrong ports and I can't believe I/we missed that! Sooooo, I went out a got new lines because I just didn't want to reverse them and it to look like crap. After installing the new lines to the correct ports, I bled the entire system for the 20th time and bingo, car stops on a dime. I can't believe that it was that the entire time. I am really excited to say the least. I can drive the car and enjoy it. The good thing about this whole thing, is I ended up with a better conversion with better parts and it was free! I also learned a **** load about brakes. I have to say, that SSBC are great and back their products. The tech said that we won't give up until it's right and they didn't! I am going to upgrade and install the Hawk HP pads in the near future.

I just want to say thank you to all you guys here for the help in the other thread to get this resolved. I learned a lot about brakes going through this that I didn't know. Thanks again..!!

Wow...something that simple can cause so much hassle. Glad you guy got it all figured out. And great to hear that SSBC is a stand up company!!

It's always the dumbest thing.

Now....get used to that stopping power so you don't put yourself through the windshield trying to stop that Mopar. LOL!

LMAO, after me and my son (19) bled the system,..he says let's take it for a ride to test it. So right away I knew it was fixed. There is a cool road only a block away that is straight as an arrow. I have the slicks mounted on the car,...so I stage it and just wack the pedal and my son looks over at me and says holy crap this car has power with a big smile on his face! Went from zero to 110 pretty quick. I press on the brakes and the car responded and came to a nice stop! This car is fun as hell to drive. Lovin it!!

That's cool! Does your son get to make a pass too? LOL!

brakes is good. glad you got it. isn't it crazy how much stopping power you have compared to drums? Im lovin my ECI disc brake conversion probably the best money spent so far.

I hear ya, it's like night and day now with the brakes. I'm still ordering the Hawk HP pads on Monday. SSBC is sending me them for like $80 compared to $135 through Summit, that's a good deal..!
