Virginia stopped providing free fillable forms for taxes.
Virginia approves the following:

Approved software:

Anyone using any of these for state taxes?
What is cost?
Thanks, Ben

I've used turbo tax for the past few years and its good for me.

It imports the fed stuff into my state returns without any drama.

I did have an issue last year with them not being able to pull some data from an account that they had before, but I would bet that's solved now. Other than that, its been good.

I used to use Turbo Tax for my state taxes, but now no. Oh wait, I don’t have state income taxes!

Turbo tax for years…

I've used H&R block. Free E-file for feds, of course Pa would rather me send 40 pages of paper than not charge for E-filing.
Used Turbo tax many years ago, before E-filing I think and it would not print out forms to mail in with out a big "alert" banner across the pages. I'm sure it completely different now, but they stuck me and for that they lose.
The alert was for nothing illegal, the software just wanted a explanation of a foreign tax paid entry. Pretty self explaining.
I had to hand copy onto actual blank forms off of filled in forms on the screen.
