Straight from the twilight zone

I stand corrected. I saw the pistol grip and without looking more closely at the gear selector I automatically assumed 4'spd....assumptions will always bite you in the ***. Nevertheless, I can't see how the clone can be worth more than the real McCoy. Unless there's something about the real McCoy that betrays its authenticity.

Well the real roadrunner would not have been a factory 440/4spd...never came that way. Might have been an original 400/4spd, or 340, 360 or 318 4spd and then converted to a 440. Either way I like the look of the real roadrunner...the rims and tires on the clone as ghastly!!

Are you sure about that (factory 440)? I thought it was a little known, little advertised option that you could still get in 73' if you only spec'd the car the right way?

The 440 was avaliable in 73 and 74 Road Runners but only with automatic trans. The last 440 4 sp was in 72

Right. So it would appear something is funky w/ the 4sp car....perhaps the 440 is a transplant. New and rebuilt but nothing saying its not original.
