I have a 1965 fury sedan and I'm trying to pull the rear seats out. I pressed down and pushed back on the seat towards the rear of the car and it won't slide backwards. Do these get stuck and just require more persuasion or is there a trick I'm missing?

Thanks,

They are very stubborn, I had lots of trouble with mine; ended up a little easier getting one side unhooked, then working on the other.
once you get a little gap, you can sometimes manage to get your hand or a tool underneath the bench, and directly push the bar out of the hook to release it.

Sometimes, very stubborn, bur not "stuck". Might need to "show it who's the boss", just don't let it win, in the end.

Sometimes a hit with a heavy rubber mallet as you pull upward will work. Worst case scenario, remove the front seat so you can push with both feet while a helper pulls upward.

I found that if I can wedge myself in front of the seat facing the rear work my knee into the front of the seat as I push it back helps.

Yes, they can get "stuck". What usually happens is someone pulled up on the seat without pushing it back and that distorts the part that clips onto the floor mount.

No easy fix other than to muscle it out. What does work is to take the front seat out, lay down on the car floor and push with your feet. (Remove your shoes LOL).

Once it's out, take a look at the part that clips to the frame and bend that back down.
