I purchased some materials and made a new CHRYSLER backlit sign for the garage
5" x 1/4" acrylic letters from americansignletterscom.
16' LED tape strip from BestBuy
2x1 PVC vinyl trim board from Home Depot.
I created a frame and plotted the letters onto the frame. I then covered the areas where the letter pads would be glued on, and painted the frame with Chrysler turquoise engine enamel.
Before affixing the letters I applied the multicolored LED light tape, then glued on the letters with PVC "Goop"brand glue

That looks great! Why does it appear multi-shaded? Can you post a pic showing how the light tape is attached?

Thanks guys!
The LED strip has a 3M adhesive tape to affix it to the surface. The multi color is just the glow it gives off in some photos.... here are a few pics during construction - showing different color lights

I live in the city, and thus have space for neither GarageMahal nor mancave. If I DID however, I'd want it to be EXACTLY like this........
