Sunday evening picture show - no Mopars

That blue drop top Galaxy is a great looking car, I always loved that era of Fords.

i only spied one Mopar in the photos. Was that it for Mopars? really?

Never mind, I should have read your other thread (the one with the Mopars in it) first. Sorry. My opinion on the galaxy still stands though....not too excited about the thunderbolt hood bulge however.

I like the Galaxy too!

I like variety at local car shows.....if nothing else it creates a flashback of different cars that I haven't seen in a long time.

Was this gruesome Continental Kit still offered as aftermarket for the 69 Galaxie, or did someone adapt it from an older model year ? They didn't even look good on the original first generation Continental.

I take the 1955 Oldsmobile Holiday hardtop sedan.

What's the deal with the ski boat platform on that car? I assume that's what Klaus is referring to? WTF?

There used to be a time where having the spare tire removed from the trunk to have more luggage space made sense; I don't see this with a late sixties full size car. Even in the 50s it was just to have a "longer one" than your neighbor.

Are you sure you wouldn't rather the '53 with the glitter paint?

Positive. Nothing wrong with a period correct custom job, but that paint job really kills it for me.
