Wing car mania will never pass, way to iconic.

A unique piece of Mopar history that doesn't pop up too oftern anymore. I never saw the attraction but prices for these when restored are nuts. Asking price makes sense in light of this.

Some comments on FBBO were made about it being priced about 10K to cheap.
i like these but a yellow column shift car would be at the bottom of my desirability list and I'd much rather have the Dodge Daytona. This car will be sold today if its not already. I'll talk to him in a little while and see how he did. The guy that I bought my Imp from had an Alpine White one that he sold shortly before I met him.

Never felt anything for those cars. Even in 1970.
I remember a night a guy pulled through with his new Superbird (lt. blue, remember it like it was yesterday) into Howdy's in'71. We all laughed.
And we were young and we liked just about anything.

I thought the Superbird's and Daytona's were cool from day 1!

Actually, most people thought they were cool.
Looking at them on The Oval.
Not cool looking at all the year old unsold leftovers sitting in dealer's lots at below invoice.

Interesting as Matt stated from the standpoint of race history, personally if it comes to street versions the ones that started the "Aero wars" especially the Torino Talladega and 69 Charger 500 also convince me in design.

I came real close to buying a Superbird in 1976. They were dirt cheap then. Ended up enlisting in the Army 3 months later.

They were sold way under sticker when new I read in several places, no one wanted them.

don't forget that many were sold without the front end and wing.
one of those ended up in Sweden in the early 70ties. believed to be road runner until someone noticed that it was a superbird. a hemi superbird not just a hemi road runner.

yes, and Per-Eric should have finished it by now after more than 10 years

the Daytonas sold quickly but the got stuck with the nearly 2.000 Superbirds in 1970

Putting on a vinyl top to cover up changes in the roof section for cost reasons was not the best idea for what was supposed to be a homologation series for racing.
