It's Not Going to Shift Itself
I got a kick out of the update in this guy's ad for his 78 LeBaron

beautifully kept survivor, 318, lean burn ignition professionally deleted, runs great, a blast to drive, power sunroof, power locks, air, cruise, tilt, power windows, power trunk, leather interior with usual wear on front seats....new steering box and steering link, new american racing rims come with 4 almost new blizzacs and two very new corvette take off's...also have original rims with new tires and classic wire rim hubcaps. currently has dynaflow muffler mounted, very throaty growl at any speed. this car has very few issues other than those you expect from a 36 yr old car, and would be a prime candidate for either classic resto or muscle car project. this car is extremely rare and turns heads everywhere! $5000 obo with all rims and tires, will consider interesting trades of equal value and condition.
update: people never cease to amaze me... it seems I need to be quite clear about a couple of things so here goes.... THIS IS A 36 YEAR OLD CAR. It is not in "showroom new" condition... it is in remarkable shape for it's age, it has low miles, and it has NO ROT OR RUST ANYWHERE. It does have a few small spots of surface rust, easily delt with. If I keep it I will deal with it happily because I understand thats what you do. If you buy it you deal with it. The AC is not blowing cold or not working, I don't know why and frankly I couldn't care less. If I keep the car I will be removing the AC components completely... If you buy you can fix it or not, but as far as I'm concerned it is of little or no bearing on the value of this car... the front seats are showing wear and a couple of tears... it's unfortunate because this car has a beautiful interior design and the seats are leather and still very comfy... back seat is near perfect. Sooner or later the front seats will have to be covered, replaced or reupholstered or something and thats a bummer... but again...IT'S A 36 YEAR OLD CAR.
This car currently has a very aggresive exhaust mounted... if that bothers you then either don't look at it or be prepared to put your own exhaust on it. Maybe see a therapist too. It sounds exactly the way I want it to sound and until someone buys it it's staying that way.
I don't consider these serious issues and I'm not interested in hearing someone whine about them.
My wife and I have taken several weekend trips around sask in this car including a 1200k run to P A for the weekend recently. It has run flawlessy every time.
