In 1971 Mercedes bought the patent rights to the Chrysler Autotemp II system. As such, since Mercedes wants to keep parts available for most all of their historic vehicles, I am assuming they worked with Performance Analysis Company to continue to make them available. Fortunately for us, PAC also makes the units for the Chrysler Autotemp II systems in the 1971-1973 C body vehicles - you send them your cores and they take some of the guts in them and rebuild them in much better cases than the original Chrysler ones (Mercedes upgraded the housings from the cheap, short lasting all plastic servos that Chrysler used) and PAC now uses those type housings to reproduce the ones we need, now made out of aluminum in the lower section so they don't leak after about 2 years of normal use.

Performance Analysis | Climate Control | Diaphragms | Blower Motors | Pushbutton Panels | Vacuum Door Locks | Autotemp | Cruise Control | Engine Oil Analysis | Mercedes-Benz Parts | Mercedes-Benz Club of America | Oak Ridge | Car Care - Home | Performance Analysis Co.

It would likely be less expensive to buy the ones needed for our cars directly from PAC. They are great to work with and they will assist you in getting them up and running if you run into problems. I would recommend buying their new amplifiers with the servo and you will likely need to source some inexpensive check valves to replace several of them in the system hoses. If one of those check valves starts to leak the system will not even turn on. I do not believe that PAC has a source for those however, but I have found some in the past when I need some by shopping around on line.

I’ll take the easy route and just ask vis digging into your catalog at the moment. Do you service ATCII units for 1977?
