How often do you see a cake that says this on it? That's my grandma, still sharp as a tack!

Happy birthday to your Grandma! 100 years old WOW! I bet she can tell some great stories from her life. Hope she has many more!

Amazing is right.......congrats to her, hopefully you will get the same longevity

Thanks guys, she is amazing. I rarely hear the same story twice and I'm pretty sure she can tell you what the weather was like on any given day in the stories that she tells. She has never had a drivers license and although she lives in a senior citizens complex she lives without assistance from anybody but family.:) Except for the whole miracle thing, she's over qualified for sainthood.

With the aches and pains I feel at 44 I would be careful what I wished for!

Happy birthday to your grandma Matt. WOW ... 100... and still independent... Amazing.
She looks great.
Hey....... Maybe bring her to Carlisle to tell us stories........?

That would be fun but she doesn't get out too much any more, in fact she's only left the Detroit area just a handful of times in the last century. GM retiree, used to take the streetcars to work and church and when the streetcars were done it was city busses and I'm glad she doesn't have to do that anymore!

I hear ya......pulled my achilles the other day while running my intervals. I'm the office gimp this week.

I swear, have gotten hurt more times from exercise of some sort than anyone ever has by sitting on a couch eating chips and drinking beer.

she must have some amazing stories to tell.......being through the depression and living w/o all the technology we now have. Life has gotten so busy most have all forgotten how to stop and smell the roses.

Ain't that the truth. Funny you mention the roses. When I go across the border to pick up my parts, and walk back, there is a bunch of rose bushes....I always stop and smell the roses. ;) :)

Congrats on your Grandmother hitting the century mark....will she be getting a letter from the President, or some other high official?

My mom requested a card from the pope but it hasn't come yet, I guess he's busy...

Yea, I bet grandma never swung a hammer...

Anyway, congrats to her! What an accomplishment to make the century mark with all of your faculties in check.

you should have told me this before I went to Italy, could have had a rosary blessed by the Pope and sent directly to her for about $35.

Glad to see your Grandmother still going strong!!

Kind of a coincidence... My Mom's 100th birthday was Saturday.

She passed at 91.
