I have owned MoPars my entire life, first one was a 46 Plymouth coupe and that was in 67! Bought it for $250.00 and drove it for several years until I bought a 65 or 66 Polara 2 dr. ht with a 383. Bought a 66 Plymouth Valiant and dropped a 340 in it with the 727 and an 8.75 and raced that for a few years. Bought a new 71 Challenger with a 318 and drove that for 2 years until I got married and then traded it in on a new Satellite Sebring Plus. Bought a 64 Sports Fury and a 68 Barracuda 383 Formula S and sold them both a few years later during a divorce. I had several others after that including a numbers matching 67 Coronet R/T and my 63 Dodge 440 but I have never had a car in all of those years to take to a show.

This year will be a first and if not for the Monaco 500 this would just be another one of those years....hell, I won't know how to act!:yaayy:

That's great that you finally have a car that can get you excited. Go figure...
What is it about this one?

< Sent from my tablet >

A- he hasn't had a car that he's been this proud of.
B- he hasn't had a car that he's liked this much.
C- he's becoming more of a show off in his old age.

I will be honest, the more I drive it the more I like it. In my mind I wanted something hotter, A or B, it didn't matter. I hit a point where it was "all in" and when I took the car up to have the new roof installed it was a comittment. Matt, its all of the above.

That's the way it should be...

this will be the first year (or at least summer) in at least 15 yrs that I haven't had a 'toy' in the form of an antique or sports car to drive during the summer

You can fix that easily. Plenty of nice cars out there.........

not for my tastes. has to be a 68-71 mopar, conv or some other sp interest car and not be a bondo barge and be in my price range. We have some 'close, but no cigar' stuff, but close only count in horsehoes and hand grenades. I had a few that might have worked, but the shipping costs has thrown them out of my reach.

Vacation time has been approved and I will do my registration when I get home tonight. I have already told the wife that I will be gone between the 11th and the 15th....yahoo!!!

I know, just looking to spike your blood pressure.

You're bringing all three?

No, I dont have the brown one anymore. Sold that to make room in the garage for the Challenger. The convertible will probably make the trip again. I may register the blue 71, my daughter wants to drive it up
