Throttle pressure adjustment - 904

I’m putting a transgo tf-2 shift kit in Elwood’s transmission and I have a question about adjusting the throttle pressure. The fsm calls for a tool - C-3763 to set the gap for the throttle kickdown valve when it is compressed.
I found this link that states the tool is 0.625” wide.

Can someone chime in with their experience?

The adjustment screw is bent on this one.

Also, what have you done to clean up the separation plate and mating surfaces of the two halves? Steel wool? Just brake cleaner?
I know these parts need to be very clean.

If you like to buy tools, these are kind of handy. They are NOT as accurate as good gauge blocks, These are accurate to .0001", great for setting a depth on a drill press, spacing on a table saw or... probably setting the throttle pressure.

Thanks for the idea. I can see a need for the spacer kit on multiple occasions.
