I've got to find someone who will transport my baby from Tx to Ks/Mo. Most people that I found on the internet said the car has to be able to roll and brake. Braking is the problem. Any suggestions? Anybody?

I posted this in one of popsrods' threads... he uses a remote-controlled winch. Your car only needs to roll freely, not stop itself!

I used Jim at Truly Vintage to go from ND to TX. He was very careful, detail-oriented, and it's a single-car enclosed trailer with soft ties. He loves classic cars and babies them like you would. It's not like those discount shippers, though... count on $1/unloaded mile unless there's a perfect connecting load and I think $1.25/loaded mile. I have heard so many horror stories about other options so I was willing to pay extra for a real professional.

We are moving. 
Hubby is being transferred to Ft Leavenworth KS. So between looking for a house on the internet. (Must have's are 3 car garage and fireplace.) We have found several places that have outbuildings big enough to fit 3-4 cars. With you guys's help, I figure we just have the car on the property and we do the rest of the work. Body work has been done. We'll fly there next weekend to look at our favorites. Getting rid of "stuff" that we managed to accumulate for the last 17 years is a PITA. (George Carlin was right about stuff) I have found that drinking wine while going through stuff makes it easier to throw it out, save for garage sale or keep it.
