Did a search for the truck seal or gasket, but one said (not D shaped) so I don't know what I need. There's was none when I got the car, so I can't see it. They installed this weather stripping crap instead of the correct seal. Does anyone know what I need to order or a link to a site that carry's the correct gasket?

Here you go. I am just a little skeptical on 16' being long enough. If I recall, I bought this in bulk @ 18' and then trimmed a little.

The upper picture (general) is not the right seal. However the lower (specific picture to your application) looks right. The website is kinda like jegs or summit they give you a picture of a General item. it can be confusing

The web site that 300rag posted or JC Whitney. What one is the right one?

The one 300 rag is correct but as he said I would rather have a bit longer than needed. your post was the one I commented on, you can see the actual picture of the right part when you click on the SKU # Both Metro Molded and Steele have the right weatherstrip. you both have listed the correct part

Excellent, I will call JC Whitney and ask if it's 18 feet long. The last number in the part number says 18, but that doesn't mean anything. Thanks guys!

Called Metro Moulded Parts and they said the part number matches my car and it's 18 feet long. Just ordered it up. Do you guys know how this is installed? Spray glue or brush on and what end goes up? Anyone have a picture of there truck moulding they could post for a 66 Fury?

There should be a 90* corner, that goes down and towards the opening, the part that flares up goes to the outside.

I just used weatherstrip adhesive in a tube, get a bag of a 100 clothespins.
Find the center of the weatherstrip and start at the center up by the window.
Put clothespins every 2" avoid pulling on the weatherstrip.
When you run out of clothespins just start removing everyother one and using them.

You the man Alan and thanks for the tip about the clothes pins. Great idea! Thanks for the link also to the correct pic in the post. Nice, I'm ready to go!!

Beautiful day here in Jersey! I went out and installed the trunk seal. I was a little worried because I never did one before, but It came out great. Cleaned all the 48 year old glue off with Goof Off. Worked like a charm. Used 3M Black Weatherstrip Adhesive on the trunk lip and Seal and let it get tacky/setup and just followed the contour using clothes pins after putting down about a foot of seal. Met both ends down at the truck release catch and glued the ends together. Like I said, it came out great and I'm happy with it.
