U2 chase cars

These cars were driven by U2 pilots in radio contact with the tower and aircraft. They assisted landing the aircraft as well as supporting the wing as it touched down and rolled out. I recall seeing it a few times with our El Camino and they were hauling it.

Very interesting read. Never knew about the difficulty of landing the U-2
