I have not had much time to be on this forum for several months due to packing, moving, putting things in storage and unpacking. We moved from central Connecticut to Lincolnton, North Carolina, which is about 40 minutes north of Charlotte, NC.
This was not a fun experience. Getting our house ready to sell, packing, paying large amounts of money to get things trucked down to NC and unpacking of which there is a lot that needs to be unpacked. Almost everything that could go wrong or be a problem happened.
For those who know me, I have a fairly large stash of NOS and used spare parts for my cars including some big stuff like NOS quarter panels and fenders.
And there thee are the cars that I had to move. Six C Body's to move, 2 daily driver cars, a pickup, an open car trailer, an enclosed car trailer and a large diesel motorhome.
I rented a 50' x 16' storage unit in NC and sent a 26' box truck full of parts, furniture and household items that we would not need down to NC with the Flyin' Whale in an enclosed trailer behind the box truck with @Dave Jacobowitz.
I feel very lucky to have found @Dave Jacobowitz He is great guy, a MOPAR and muscle car collector who works part-time for himself hauling stuff and cars around the country. I highly recommend him for hauling cars and/or parts. He has a retired U-Haul 26' box truck (which will hold a C Body) and both an enclosed trailer and a good sized tilt type open trailer.
Luckily a friend was able to trailer 2 cars from his brother's place outside of Carlisle, PA for me but I had to get them to him so I my yellow '68 Sport Fury went on my open car trailer behind my 2002 Dodge Ram a friend followed in my green '68 Sport Fury. We stopped along the way and met up with @moparjeff and he traded me some cash for some trunk lids. That got 3 C Body cars down to NC along with some of my parts.
Dave took two more C Body's down, one inside the box truck and one on a trailer behind.
Enough about the move. We love the area and the house. I will need to build a garage at some point.
I can't believe that I can take one of C Body's out for a ride, to a show or cruise in during the month of December.
This is all that I have time for right now.
