vet stolen keep eye out folks

That really sucks, I'd be pissed!!!

Terrible, and the possibility of getting it back is near zero. Hopefully it was correctly insured.

I saw your headline, and thought "veterinarian" or "veteran", since the shortened version of Corvette is spelled "Vette".

I remember a classic TBird that was stolen around here a few years back because it made the front page of the paper. The owner did get it back, but it was barely recognizable as a car by then.

On another occasion, a guy in Brandon was arrested and charged when he got caught trying to enter a stolen car into a derby! It takes all kinds :BangHead:

That one made the news too. :)

That's sad. 40 years with the car and it's gone. Probably in a container headed overseas by now.

I had one car (66 Dart) that was taken for a test drive and not brought back. I found it a week later and drove it home. The guy that took it turned out to have some mental "issues". He actually called me a few days later and asked to borrow the car. A couple years later I ran into him at a local body shop... He was trying to sell the owner something and he actually turned to me and said "This guy knows me, he'll vouch for me". It got real interesting at that point and we'll leave it at that.

A friend had a 67 GTX stolen. He thought it was gone and then he saw it out in a little town... He chased it down and got a plate number and called the cops... They recovered the car... It had been painted and the VIN replaced. The paint job was better than what was on it and the car had a couple things fixed. This was in the 70's and he still has the car.

Meh, he's probably better off without it. Ask Stan.
Yes. It's unfortunate. A shame really.
But it's just a car. A phallic symbol. Arm candy. Attention grabber. Etc.
He's got money. Lots of money. He can buy another.
I feel bad for him. I don't feel sorry for him.

What kind of idiot parks a car like that in the street with nothing more than a car cover in the first place? He doesn't deserve it back.
