Vinyl Top Adhesive

Hello,
I cut back a small section of a vinyl top to repair some rust. I want to glue this section of the top back down. I have tried 3M's 77, but it doesn't hold. 3M's 90 seems to be readily available at Lowe's, etc. Will using 90 cause problems when I want to replace the top in a year or 2? Thank you,

You can use any adhesive that is specifically for vinyl. Lots of them on Amazon.
Most preferrable is a contact vinyl adhesive.

Keyston adhesive is the bomb. I feel sorry for whomever has to redo the carpet on any boat I've owned thanks to this stuff.

I thought vinyl roofs were put on with plain ordinary old contact cement. (or is that stuff illegal now?)
