Welcome 71Polara383 to FCBO!

I love c bodys. 69-71 polaras and monacos!

Location: Rockford,IL
Just bought the car that Started it all for me.My dad had a 71 Polara 2 door hardtop when I was a kid and I recently bought another off the internet and am waiting for transport for the west coast to Illinois. Love the 70 and 71s! Post up your pics guys! I couldnt find the picture of Dads old car, but I found a few with me and my sisters riding in it and in one picture of my sister on Halloween you can see the quarter panel just slightly.
Also a few pictures of the 71 I just bought. Its at wildcat in Oregon. Looks to be a solid car with some rust repair needed around the windows. Hopefully the car is as clean and original as It looks when she gets here next month. I suspect it to be a little rough, but given the cars dont rot too terribly out that way its worth the risk to me. Not many of these beasts left! I will be in the market for parts. Going to be switching over to black interior i believe and also need a passenger side door. Gold in color preferred but I'll take what I can get.
Thanks guys!

Its coming to a good home! My folks work at Belvidere Assembly so its kinda fate this is the Mopar that sparked the mopar maniac I am today.

Welcome aboard! I used to have a 1971 Polara Brougham myself that I ended up selling to Finland. It is one of the ones I still feel some regret over selling, but I had to make choices (I still have my 1971 Monaco through). That fact that yours is a Bougham model makes it a little more special too, and it will have an upscale interior. It looks like you will need a different emblem for the decklid, but that will come in time. Great purchase in my view, and I wish you all the best with it. You will have a lot of support on this site! Show us some photos when you receive it.

Well, then, welcome to the asylum inmate! I used to work at Highland Park, Michigan - Chrysler headquarters back in the day - in fact I was there in 1971!

The interior is pretty rough. One heck of a moisture issue coming from somewhere that has me concerned but anything can be fixed with patience. Gonna be searching for interior pieces for sure. Want to return it as close to stock as possible but theres a complete black interior from a 70 near by that I am considering because its local.

:welcome:... 2024 2 door hardtop Broughams made in 71. I think that's a good car in a unique color. I'm happy to see it probably being saved....

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! If that's your dad he looks a little like David Grohl in that photo.
