Glad to be here. A long time coming. My grandfather owned a 69 Newport when I was really young. I've spent 10 or so more years kind of looking for a similar car like his. a few weeks ago, I stumbled on a FB post for a 69 Custom Green with the black vinyl top and black interior. With the exception of the interior, I believe it's just like his. Still waiting for photos from my mother to confirm. It's going to be a project for my 13 year old and I. He wants to be a mechanic, so having him wrench on this will help him in the long run. Already seeing that part availability is slim to none, so he's going to learn a fair amount. He's already picked wheels that I'm sure will annoy the "purists".
