I have been reading on here a lot lately and decided to join in. I'm not new to C bodys as I have had my 71 Sport Suburban a long time. It was my moms and I grew up in it. It is my first car and I learned to drive in it. It was born as a 383/727 with a 2.76 8.75 car. It has been in the family since about 1983 and I have officially owned it since 1992. This photo is 17 years old now but the car does not look much different.

Great looking wagon, shaved door handles and lack of trim look really nice!

Thanks, Most trim removed but wood siding will stay! Car is in primer and needs to be finished. Door handles, antenna, roof racks, side window trim, lock cylinders all shaved off. Plymouth lettering shaved off hood and tailgate. Sport Suburban emblems and 440 emblems on hood will remain.

I'm confused. Do you have the car pictured above and another one you are doing or are you talking about that car?

I thought the picture above was a sand pebble beige color and already painted. Is that primer? Please make a build thread to show what it looks like and so we can follow your progress..

Yes, That is my 71 Sport Suburban (looks like a 70) in the Avatar. It is the same one and is in primer (originally Sand Pebble Beige but was painted green by my dad). Progress is very slow as it is down and I have been slowly building a 512 stroker for it. Short block is now done but took me almost 2 years to do as I had time or could spend the money. Other bills keep getting in the way. Plus I have a 2 year old boy that I'm enjoying playing with. It is also packed tightly in my 2 car garage with a 71 Chevelle that is my wife's car but became a frame off rebuild. That took me 11 years to build. It had been done for 4 years now and we decided to have a family and quit putting that off. I also have another 70 Sport Suburban that is a parts car.
