You'll find fantastic levels of helpfulness and knowledge on this site. A number of folks on the board are experts on the '71 Monaco and/or its sister the ‘71 Polara, including (but not limited to) coupe owners @saforwardlook, @71Polara383, @polara71 (aka "Polara Dave"), @fc7_plumcrazy and @Autoengineer. I recently acquired a '71 Monaco coupe, and also have a '70 Polara 'vert. Local to you in Michigan is, among other folks, @detmatt -- who, if memory serves, once located and screened a superb Polara 'vert for @mdh157.

The ‘71 owner group is smaller than the ‘70 owner group. To wit, over 20 FCBO members in the past five years have owned ‘70 ‘verts!

We look forward to seeing pics of your car, and hearing more about its history. There is a meet at Volo for C-bodies on June 22, and a number of members + other folks with cars from the Midwest and beyond will be there. I know of at least three Monacos that plan to attend, so if you brought yours, that'd be four
