Hi FCBO. I have another 1966 Dodge. My first was a 1966 Dodge Monaco that was my father in laws till he blew the engine. I replaced engine with a 383ci police interceptor engine. I now own thanks to Hagerty paying me the appraised value of my stolen 1973 Buick Riviera. 1966 Dodge Polara with 51,000 original miles no restore. Have a nice big garage for her to hide from weather & thieves. I always loved the old MOPARS. Have had a few Chrysler, Dodge & Plymouth. Great cars. Can haul just about anything with them. I lived in my 66 Monaco for 6 months while going thru a divorce. Thanks for letting me join. I need some things for my new love. Looking for a am fm radio. 4-barrel intake, complete dual exhaust. How do I lubricate the manual windows. They are all difficult to roll up & down.

My 1966 Dodge Polara is in the pits. It started out as a out of gas to major problems with gas system & electrical. Been driving with a gas gauge that does not work correctly, Hard to start any time hot or cold. To finding melted & shade tree engineering of electrical in dash. I thought I ran out of gas a week ago. Oct. 6 2025. Gauge said 1/4 tank. I stuffed a hose into tank. Nothing. I poured several gallons of gas into tank. Polara started. I drove to Truck stops of America because they have BP & fresh gas. I tried to fill tank up. only took 14 gallons of gas as read out on pump. Would not start. I check carb. No gas. I waited several hours for a specialized tow from AAA. Got home & removed the starter Battery & fuel pump. All three & Alternator failed test at Auto parts stores. Replaced all those parts & voltage regulator, ignition switch & head light switch. Still have a problem with starting. Have to try several times turning key till it finally spins starter. Found out going to Apple Butter festival in Grand Rapids Ohio car show that speedometer, gas gauge & alternator gauge don't work. I can't seem to find a problem except those I stated in this post. My arms & hands are bleeding. My hands are numb. Getting ready to throw in the towel. I am so tired of fixing other peoples mistakes. OR? I am just a stupid classic car buyer!
