What '74 Gran Fury parts will work for Fusey cars

The wing nut from the air cleaner housing and that's about it.

Is the 74 GF savable?

Nothing Else, nothing Mechanical? Hmmm Mopars continue to amaze and disappoint me in some ways.

as for savable, NO, sat for the last 20 years in soft muddy dirt, it's basically all shot as far as floors and frames are concerned.

Hmmmm.....well that's a start....r u planning on dropping that in the 69'?? If it was original a small block car from the factory the 360 will slip right in (w/ 904 tranny).....if not (a big block car) that's a bit more complicated but not impossible.

My car is a 318 car would have to change the right motor mount, but I don't want a 904 or a 360, happy with my 318/727 combo my car had from the factory, besides the condition of the 360 is unknown and pretty iffy, where as my 727 is a fresh rebuild and my 318 is in pretty good running condition and really only needs the heads rebuilt.

Sounds like a winner than. I was just speculating somewhat from the questions your were posing about swapping 74' parts. Got any pics? Those are big here.

I have the original 318 in my '68 Satellite with 360 heads and the cast iron 4bbl intake and a mild cam and it runs really strong for what it is.

The 360 would already have hardened seats, bigger ports and bigger valves, so my suggestion would be to redo the 360 heads and also use the 4bbl intake. The older 318s were noted for burning out exhaust valves once they were forced to use unleaded fuel.

Also another note... In the future you could put a big block in your car with no issues, it wasn't until '73 for the B-bodies to make the sub-frames different between the big and small blocks and it was '74 when the C-bodies made the change.

Also, also keep the 360 to turn, or for your own future use, your 727 will work with the 360, you will just need an aftermarket balanced flex plate, or a weighted torque converter for the externally balanced 360.

A guy restoring a '75 Gran Fury ended up contacting me locally and I put him in touch with my Buddy, looks like it's going to help save another C body.
